PINTSIK: ChefRey´s Filipino Chinese Cuisine: Our 1st Business Venture

Pintsik is our family´s 1st ever business initiative.  We ventured into the lucrative food business because we are a family who loves to eat!! Eating is our favorite past time.  And there are really good cooks in our family.  My younger brother Jon Rey (hence the name Chef Rey) is currently the head chef in a 3 star hotel in Makati, Philippines. He got his passion for cooking from our mother dear.  And we would like to share to our dear clients our love for food, our delicious recipes that bind us together.  Everytime you will taste our Pintsik specialties, the tasty flavors and the concoction of the ingredients will give you the feeling that you are eating in the comforts of your home, enjoying our mom´s home cooked meals. 

We are not entrepreneurs in nature so managing our small family business is really challenging. We have to look after our investment, finances, sales and expenses and ensure that our commitment to qualit service is not compromised.  But more than the expenses, the nitty gritty, the operational demands of managing a food business is really demanding.  Even if we have 3 staff assisting, with my brother and sister in law managing the operations and my younger sister looking after the financial and business side, it is not easy at all, we still feel that we are heavily understaffed.  We are also managing Pintsik on top of our daily commitments (we are all working professionals) and our distance (thanks to viber, to whatsapp and facebook messenger!!)

Amidst the demands of managing our Pintsik, my brothers, sisters and I are all grateful for our business venture.  We just keep pushing forward and improving every step of the way.  We are very inspired as we have received very positive feedback regarding the quality of our food. The same way that we received feedback on our areas for improvement; we are now prioritizing our efforts to look into the more important aspects of our operations.  

Pintsik is barely a month old in operations but the learnings and the enthusiasm that it has brought us is immensely great.  We will work on our best Pintsik to manage you and sustain you.  And to you my brothers and sisters - Ate Paz, Adeng Jon Rey, Adeng Ryedel, Adeng Joy and Adeng Rexie, I am so grateful that we are all on this together!!!
